A postdoctoral position in Coastal Physical Oceanography is available at the Department of Marine Sciences at the University of South Alabama. The applicant should have a Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography or a closely related field. The successful applicant will be located at Dauphin Island Sea Lab, Alabama (http://www.disl.org), and will participate in numerical modeling of coastal systems in the northern Gulf of Mexico. Experience with hydrodynamic models (e.g. FVCOM, ROMS) is highly desirable. The initial appointment is for one year, and renewal is contingent upon annual performance reviews and availability of funds.
