Entry Level Environmental Policy/Regulatory Analyst

Job Description:
Process incoming regulatory documents for NOAA Fisheries. Track, review, and correct regulatory documents to comply with Federal Register and NOAA requirements. Prepare summaries, distribute documents, maintain agency administrative records, communicate with regional contacts, and maintain multiple databases.

Required Skills:
Ability to perform multiple simultaneous functions with critical deadlines with little/no oversight. Process oriented and attentive to detail. Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office, Word Perfect, and Excel. Process oriented with attention to detail. Ability to obtain security clearance is mandatory. 0-2 years experience in basic Federal regulatory policies and basic knowledge of the Federal regulatory process are desirable but not required - hands-on experience, internships or other practical experience, and some knowledge of environmental legislation, fisheries and Federal Register requirements are a plus.

Education:
BA/BS in regulatory policy, environmental studies, or related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be used to meet the minimum education requirements. In lieu of an undergraduate degree, comparable or specialized regulations related to aquatic resources or environmental management issues would be considered.
