Postdoctoral Position: Plankton Ecology, Wetland Ecology, Toxicology

The Belle W Baruch Institute for Marine & Coastal Sciences at the University of South Carolina and SC Department of Natural Resources invite applications for a postdoctoral fellow/research associate to work in the algal ecology lab, focusing on harmful algae at the SCDNR Marine Resources Research Institute (MRRI) at Fort Johnson in Charleston, SC. A Ph.D. in environmental science, marine science, or biological sciences is required.

The successful applicant will conduct research in the fields of marine and estuarine phytoplankton biology, toxicology, or wetland ecology. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to establish an independent and externally-funded research program and will have significant laboratory supervisory responsibilities, including laboratory management, supervision of research associates, technicians, and students.
