Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biology, Oceanography or related field. Additional Qualifications Desired: Experience assessing marine benthic processes, food webs and/or animal abundance and diversity. Special Requirements: Physical ability and willingness to conduct research at sea on ocean-going research vessel for up to two weeks at a time. Responsibilities: participates in research cruises; conducts oceanographic research in the Gulf of Mexico using quantitative collections of benthic organisms, fish stomach contents, and stable isotopes to examine the effect of artificial reefs on food webs.
