George Mason University, Department of Environmental Science and Policy (ESP) invites applications for a Term Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of the recently chartered Potomac Environmental Research and Education Center (PEREC) to begin fall 2008. The position will entail teaching graduate and undergraduate courses as well as participating in individual and team research projects, and assisting the PEREC Director in developing research and educational programs. We seek a recent Ph.D. graduate who seeks teaching experience and has an interest in helping to launch the new center. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to conduct publishable research, to excel at teaching and to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration. A Ph.D. is required. An initial contract of up to three years is available. The department offers undergraduate degrees and an M.S. and Ph.D. in environmental science and policy.
