The Fall 2004 SEERS meeting was held in the Coastline Convention Center on the downtown Wilmington, N.C. waterfront, October 14-16. Approximately 74 people attended, including 35 students. Regular members presented 22 papers and student members presented 21 papers. There was an overall theme of "stormwater runoff" with speakers demonstrating the impacts of nutrients and microbial pathogens from such runoff pollution on various estuarine and nearshore marine habitats including Florida reefs, South Carolina beaches and swashes, and North Carolina tidal creeks and boat ramp areas. We thank the following sponsors: North Carolina Sea Grant; the North Carolina Water Resources Research Institute; the University of North Carolina at Wilmington; Hydrolab/ Hach Corporation; and YSI/SonTek.
