As part of its goal to promote communication between estuarine researchers and affiliate societies, CERF currently publishes a refereed bimonthly journal and a quarterly newsletter:

Estuaries and Coasts

ESTUARIES AND COASTS is the bimonthly journal of the Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation. The journal publishes manuscripts presenting original research findings, reviews, techniques, and comments. The subjects considered appropriate for publication in the journal include any aspect of research on physical, chemical, geological, or biological systems, as well as management of those systems, at the interface between the land and the sea. The interface is broadly defined to include areas within estuaries, lagoons, wetlands, tidal rivers, watersheds that influence estuaries, and near-shore coastal waters.

Coastal and Estuarine Science News

CESN provides summaries of selected articles from the Federation's journal, Estuaries and Coasts.  The summary articles emphasize management applications of the scientific findings.  CESN is funded by the Ocean and Coastal Protection Division of USEPA to strengthen the link between science and management in coastal systems.

CERF Newsletter

A quarterly newsletter bringing CERF members up to date on Federation happenings, programs, and upcoming conferences.
