CERF2009 Scientific Award Nominations
The Federation is currently taking nominations for our 2009 Scientific Awards, to be presented at the CERF2009 conference. The deadline for nominations is May 8th extended to May 22nd now closed. To learn more about the categories of awards and how to make a nomination, click here. (read more)

DOE-NICCR Coastal Center Call for Proposals
The DOE National Institute for Climatic Change Research (NICCR) has released its fifth call for proposals, which includes a focus area on coastal ecosystem response to climate and sea-level change. One-page, electronic preproposals are required, and are due on May 15, 2009. Full proposals are due on August 14, 2009. (read more)

Abstract Submission Now Closed
Deadline May 15th

The Federation is pleased to announce the opening of abstract submissions for our 2009 conference. Our last conference drew in over 1,200 abstracts, and all indications are that this year will exceed that. More information about the conference is available on the conference website and will continue to be updated as the date draws near. So submit your abstract and start your preparations for Portland 2009!

CERF Board Addresses Ethanol, Carbon Sequestration
In a November teleconference, the CERF board unanimously passed two resolutions, one addressing ethanol biofuel and the other carbon sequestration. (read resolutions)
